There are times I wish I lived in a kinder, gentler, time – say Queen Victoria’s England. So I transport myself with a cozy historical mystery and am quickly reminded that, even for the upper classes, things weren’t always kind or gentle. Such is the case in A Lady’s Guide to Etiquette and Murder by Dianne Freeman, a first novel I hope will become a series.
